The Gallery

Artwork on Approval:

It is not unusual for local area clients to either take artwork home on approval or for the gallery to deliver larger items to your home for final approval.
Many of the pieces we offer understandably need to be seen in the specific environment before a client can determine if the piece is appropriate to the room. Arrangements should be made with the gallery director.

Layaway Terms:

Clients may purchase artwork on a layaway plan if they choose. Payments are made over 10 months with no interest charges. 1/10 down plus 9 monthly payments.

Delivery and Installation:

To be arranged with the gallery.

UPS or FedEx 2-3 day service upon completion of order charged to client account.

Full refund if returned within 7days of purchase.

Sales Tax:

Non Washington state clients will not be charged sales tax when their purchase is shipped by the American Art Company. Oregon and Alaska residents may take artwork with them from the immediate premises without having to pay Washington State sales tax if they provide a driver’s license with their current address and a credit card.

Six to Nine Exhibits each year in the Main Gallery:

The gallery mounts 6-9 exhibits per year in the main gallery. More often than not these shows feature two artists. Occasionally a single artist is able to fill the entire main gallery with work and at other times we mount group shows around a single medium such as our Contemporary Art Quilts show or Contemporary Turned Wood Invitational. The front rooms in the gallery allow us to feature additional artwork that is not the subject of our focus exhibits.

Our Goals and Focus:

Our goal is to provide mature and interesting work for our collector base, to share and expand our collective awareness of art past and present in a wide range of artistic expressions, and to develop a greater awareness, understanding, and tolerance for the individual artistic voice. The focus is eclectic.

Ethnic art:

The gallery is always looking for new opportunities to share unusual artwork with our clients. Over the years we have featured museum quality African Art, Aboriginal art, and Huichol Indian art in specific focus shows. On a number of occasions we have brought artists from Japan to the gallery for collectors to meet.
